Ground Up Technology Announces An AI Centre Of Excellence in Kolkata


With the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ground Up Technology Ltd., a Manchester-based technology company, Gargi Memorial Institute of Technology (GMIT), a reputable institution under the JIS Group of Colleges, marked an important milestone in its dedication to technological advancement and global career opportunities for its students. The Memorandum of Understanding was formally established at GMIT’s first international conference, Smart Technology for Emerging Problems (STEP 2K25), which took place on campus.
The MoU signing ceremony was graced by Mr. Andre Bourlat, Head of Data Factory at Club Med France; Mr Bodhisattva Banerjee, Vice Chairman of GMIT; Dr. Narendranath Jana, Principal of GMIT, and senior faculty members.
The CEO and founder of Ground Up Technology Ltd., Mr. Mark Dale, traveled to India as part of his plan to work with the IT company Inceptial, based in Kolkata, to create a state-of-the-art AI Centre of Excellence in Kolkata.
“We are providing live product development opportunities to students at GMIT who can showcase these as part of their final year projects. We are opening a Centre of Excellence in Sector V, Kolkata, and I would love for some GMIT students to be a part of it. We anticipate that our delivery centre in Kolkata will generate a large number of AI-related job openings” said Mr Mark Dale, CEO & Founder of Ground Up Technology Ltd.
This MoU signing fits in perfectly with GMIT’s mission to give its students the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in the changing labour market as AI specialists.
