HCG Cancer Centre, New Town organized The HCG Robotic Onco Conclave. The event brought together several onco professionals on one platform to showcase the breakthroughs in robotics and medical advancements in their respective fields.

The distinguished physicians, who come from a variety of oncology specialties, contribute their wealth of knowledge and experience to the region’s cancer treatment.

The conclave focused on HCG Cancer Centre‘s extensive organ-specific, robot-assisted onco-surgery program for patients in Kolkata, West Bengal, and the surrounding areas.

The Da Vinci X Robotic Surgery System, which will be installed at the HCG Cancer Centre in New Town, Kolkata, will transform cancer surgery in the city by providing patients with improved precision, a shorter recovery period, and a decreased risk of complications.

The oncologists highlighted that not all cancer patients need robotic surgery. Depending on the state of the patient, the doctors decide on the course of treatment.

The Da Vinci X Robotic Surgery System was originally launched at the ceremony at the HCG Cancer Centre in New Town, Kolkata.

Its sophisticated EndoWrist technology enables precise manipulations in difficult-to-reach bodily parts thanks to its robotic arms. Using a console, surgeons operate the device remotely, giving them access to a 3D perspective and improved operating site magnification.
