Himalaya BabyCare Now Has 500 Breastfeeding Rooms Across India

Himalaya BabyCare announced the installation of more than 500 breastfeeding rooms throughout India as part of its continuous dedication to fostering healthy beginnings for moms and kids. These rooms provide hygienic, private areas where moms can comfortably and dignifiedly feed their infants. At a time when raising public awareness of maternal well-being is becoming more and more important, this milestone reflects the brand’s ongoing efforts to provide mothers with clean infrastructure.
The breastfeeding rooms have been set up at 27 airports across the country, from Kolkata in West Bengal to transit hubs like Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Kolkata. It is also available at 33 train stations, including strategic points in Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Uttar Pradesh. Additionally, there are 268 rooms in 141 hospitals and other busy locations in India’s major cities and regional hubs.
As of June 2025, there are 502 feeding rooms in operation overall. About 30 women use each feeding room on average each day, according to the brand’s assessment, underscoring the ongoing need for these facilities. This corresponds to over 5.5 million women each year who have access to private and sanitary feeding rooms nationwide because of Himalaya BabyCare’s carefully planned, mother-friendly locations.
βAt Himalaya BabyCare, babies and moms are always at the heart of what we do. Our initiative to provide breastfeeding facilities is a reflection of our steadfast dedication to providing mothers with considerate and caring support wherever they may be. These rooms are a positive step in providing women with the solitude they desire without sacrificing their comfort or mobility,β said Mr. Chakravarthi N V, Director β BabyCare, Himalaya Wellness Company.
By acknowledging and addressing the everyday realities faced by parents in urban and semi-urban India, this initiative not only reflects Himalaya’s mission to ensure “Happy Beginnings” for every mother and child, but it also creates a subtle yet significant social shift. Himalaya BabyCare is setting the stage for a future in which maternal comfort and care are not only encouraged but given priority by fusing its CSR initiatives with a compelling brand mission.
