“I Have Diabetes & Diabetic Friendly Biryani Is A Great Option”-Soham Chakraborty

Oudh 1590 launched its first-ever diabetic-friendly biryani. The growing number of health-conscious people in Kolkata, particularly those with diabetes, who want to savor rich Awadhi flavors while practicing mindful nutrition, is catered to by this special product. The menu elevates royal dining to the level of guilt-free decadence.
Renowned actor Soham Chakraborty, Dt. Nidhi Prakash, well-known dietician & nutritionist, M.Sc. (Dietetics), IDF Certified in Diabetes (USA), and the co-founders & directors of Oudh 1590, Mr Shiladitya & Debaditya Chaudhury, graced the occasion at Oudh 1590’s Salt Lake outlet.
Diabetic Murgh Biryani and Diabetic Subz Biryani are two special options on the Diabetic-Friendly Biryani Menu, which was thoughtfully created by Dt. Nidhi Prakash. Using traditional Awadhi methods and aromatic spices, each dish is cooked with a balanced macronutrient profile and low amounts of fats and carbohydrates.
“About six months ago, I got the idea to make diabetic biryani, and I’ve been working on it ever since. Reducing the glycemic load and index of white rice-based biryani was the goal. For this aim, I choose to use parboiled rice. I also substituted sweet potatoes for potatoes. Soy chunks and an abundance of vegetables were used to make the vegetarian biryani. These changes allow diabetics to eat Diabetic Friendly Biryani without having a major effect on their blood sugar levels”, said Dt. Nidhi Prakash, dietician & nutritionist, M.Sc. (Dietetics), IDF Certified in Diabetes (USA).

Soham said, “I am a diabetic and also love to gorge on good food. With the introduction of the diabetic friendly biryani, people with diabetes can gorge on yummy biryani. They do not have to think about their sugar levels going up. Instead, they can enjoy the biryani in a guilt-free way. A great initiative indeed by Oudh 1590”.
With 400 g portions per plate and a suggested serving size of 200 g, the Diabetic Murgh Biryani provides a lean, flavorful chicken biryani with a balanced macronutrient profile for mindful indulgence. The Diabetic Subz Biryani, on the other hand, is a vegetarian choice that is high in fiber and weighs 400 g per plate with a 200 g serving size. It offers healthy nutrition without sacrificing flavor. The release includes a comprehensive graphic with the nutritional value.

The pleasantly filling Diabetic Subz Biryani costs Rs 275, while the Diabetic Murgh Biryani costs only Rs 350. One guilt-free spoonful at a time, this wholesome experience combines taste, tradition, and thoughtful nutrition at all Oudh 1590 locations (only dine-in).
