IBSA’s Special Event To Celebrate Life With Cancer Survivors

To celebrate the tenacity of cancer patients receiving treatment at Tata Medical Center (TMC), the Indo-British Scholars Association (IBSA) arranged a charity event called “Celebrating Life with Cancer Survivors”. The gathering took place at Premashraya, a residential facility that offers patients and their families a “home away from home”.
The project, which was created by IBSA members Dr. Rizwan Javed and Ms. Aakriti Jhunjhunwala, gave the people of Premashraya, who are valiantly battling cancer, happiness and a sense of community.
Scholars and professionals from a range of fields can network with the Indo British Scholars’ Association, a UK alumni association. IBSA reaffirmed its commitment to giving back and involving its members in worthwhile causes by presenting a cheque for Rs 1 lakh to support cancer care to Mr. Sanjeev Agarwal, Director of Finance- TMC, and Mrs. Sudeshna Dutt, Head of Operations- Premashraya.
Fifty paediatric patients attended the celebration, which included a magic show that was followed by singing and dancing. With children eagerly participating in the magic show and joyfully chanting “Gili, Gili Abra Ka Dabra!” the afternoon was the ideal combination of wonder and excitement. A variety of supporters generously donated toys, colouring books, stationery kits, chocolates, and biscuits to each child’s gift bag.
The event ended with lunch for 160+ patients, including both children and adults. It was sponsored by Mr Mukund Agarwal and Mr Aman Agarwal.
