The All India UCO Bank Divyangjan Employees Welfare Association organized a press conference on Disability Awareness.

It intends to honor World Disability Day by encouraging inclusivity and disability awareness among UCO Bank staff.

The association is essential in raising awareness of disabilities and putting regulations in place that help Divyangjan workers. Regardless of the kind of handicap, their main goal is to guarantee that UCO Bank offers an accessible and inclusive workplace.

The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPWD) initiated the Accessible India Campaign (AIC) to achieve universal accessibility for PwDs. Three main areas are the focus of the campaign: Accessibility of the Built Environment, Transportation Systems, and Information and Communication Ecosystems

The association would collaborate closely with the Government of India’s social justice welfare department and Divyangjan department to implement the policy of Divyangjan employees at UCO Bank. By doing this, the policies will be in line with government programs and directives, giving Divyangjan staff members a welcoming and inclusive workplace.

The International Day of Persons with Disabilities is celebrated on December 3rd worldwide as a day to raise awareness of the rights and welfare of people with disabilities. As bankers, they understand how critical it is to have a welcoming and easily accessible workplace that celebrates diversity and encourages equal opportunity for all. In honor of World Disabled Day, which is observed annually on December 3rd, the organization holds several seminars to educate the Diyangjan community on their rights and equality as outlined in the PWD Act of 2016.
