Moople TV was launched on Children’s Day in the presence of Tollywood actors Dev and Koel. The channel made its debut on YouTube on 14^th November. The infotainment channel will be providing basic education to the children.

Moople TV is the umbrella brand of Hi-Tech Animation which is a Kolkata based animation firm. The channel will showcase a number of animated cartoons in Bengali, Hindi and other regional languages. The content is unique and original with great animation, music and lyrics.

Speaking at the event, Koel said “When I was growing up, there was such good content on television in the form of cartoons. There were also a number of comic books like Tintin, Nonte Fonte and others to enrich my knowledge and provide entertainment. Kids in today’s times are stuck to their Xbox or mobiles. This will be a welcome break for them”.

Dev mentioned that he was still a kid at heart and stressed on the fact that this will help kids to learn more in an entertaining manner. “Kids are stuck with mobile phones these days. With such entertaining cartoons, the kids have great options to watch and enjoy for sure” said the actor.

Hi-Tech Animation has plan of investing eight crores rupees initially in Moople TV for creating content in Bengali and other regional languages. The company also has plans of coming up with a Bengali satellite cartoon channel within two years.
