The eagerly awaited trailer for Hoichoi’s next web series Kaalratri has been released. This suspenseful murder mystery combines the intensity of a somber family drama with the intrigue of Hoichoi’s theatrical storytelling technique.

Kaalratri, which is directed by the gifted Ayan Chakraborti, blends the excitement of a murder mystery with the charm of family drama. The trailer promises an engrossing story full of twists, tension, and a foreboding atmosphere that will keep viewers wondering until the very end, so audiences can anticipate an emotional rollercoaster.

Debi’s wedding day, which ought to have been the happiest day of her life, is featured in the trailer. However, the delight is turned to fear when her close friend Maya foretells a dire prophecy that her husband, Rudra Roy Barman, is at risk of dying. When a murder occurs in the family the very following day, the nightmare becomes a reality. A long-standing web of secrets, betrayals, and scandals starts to come to light as the Roy Barman family recovers from the shock. Under DSP Satyaki Sanyal’s leadership, every member of the family is made a suspect in the murder inquiry. In her quest to learn the truth about her husband’s premature death, Debi must navigate a complex web of mystery, treachery, and peril with every discovery.

The series boasts an ensemble cast consisting of Soumitrisha Kundoo as Debi, Anujoy Chattopadhyay as DSP Satyaki Sanyal, Indrasish Roy as Rudra Roy Barman, Debesh Chattopadhyay and Rupanjana Mitra as Samaresh and Indrani Roy Barman, Rajdeep Gupta, Sairity Banerjee, Sounak Roy, Sampurna Mondal, and Diya Chakraborty as members of the enigmatic Roy Barman family, Koushani Mukherjee as Maya, and Dipanwita Sarkar as Tani.
