This time, the campaign will focus on North Kerala, specifically Wayanad, Bekal, Kannur, and Kozhikode, as well as lesser-known destinations with significantly improved infrastructure, according to the Minister.

Heli-tourism and the seaplane initiative, which will connect and make destinations in the state more accessible, are two of the new products that will attract tourists.

Along with the new projects, the state’s core assets, such as beaches, hill stations, houseboats, and the backwater segment, will improve the overall visitor experience.

Domestic visitors account for a sizable portion of Kerala’s tourism sector, so the state has launched an all-India campaign to form partnerships with stakeholders across the country to meet the surge, particularly during the summer vacation for schools.

Combining luxury and leisure, Kerala is quickly becoming a popular destination for Destination Weddings and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) events. According to records, an increasing number of Indians and foreign nationals visit Kerala to walk on the altar. With its spectacular landscapes, world-class facilities, and seamless blend of tradition and modernity, the state is also appealing to event planners, couples, and corporate clients looking for a distinctive experience.

To boost Kerala’s reputation as an adventure tourism destination, the state is preparing to host international surfing, paragliding, and mountain biking championships in February-March of this year.

The International Paragliding Festival will be held at Vagamon in Idukki from March 19 to 23, and the Mountain Terrain Biking Championship (MTB Kerala 2025) will be held from March 28 to 30 at Mananthavadi in Wayanad.

The state is unique in that it offers a wide range of experiences for travelers, including houseboats, caravan stays, plantation visits, jungle resorts, homestays, Ayurvedic wellness solutions, adventure activities, and countryside walks, such as trekking to verdant hills.

Anticipating a surge in domestic footfalls during the summer holiday season, Kerala Tourism has planned a series of travel trade networking events, including B2B roadshows across India to introduce new products to a larger audience, as well as active participation in major trade fairs.
