In keeping with its ongoing mission to promote and assist entrepreneurship and education, Make Calcutta Relevant Again (MCRA) organized a special “Innovators Over Coffee” event. Aiming to strengthen economic ties between Bengal and Bangladesh, the event commemorated the founding of the Bengal Economic Council – Bangladesh Chapter and included an interesting panel discussion on “Innovating Education – Bridging Technology & Entrepreneurship Across Borders”.

Prominent figures in the worlds of technology and education convened for a panel discussion aimed at exploring novel ideas at the nexus of both domains.

The panellists consisted of Mr.HemantSahal, Founder & CEO, Digii, Mr.SandipanChattopadhyay, CEO & MD, Xelpmoc Design & Tech and Co-Founder, Mihup, and Mr.Meghdut Roy Chowdhury, Chief Innovation Officer, Techno India Group. The panel discussion was moderated by Mr. Kaustav Majumdar, Chief Mentor, ASMI Business School.

Dr.Sabur Khan, Chairman of Daffodil International University and Chairman of the Global Entrepreneurship Network, Bangladesh, delivered a special keynote address to the audience on Global Entrepreneurship. Ms.Mousumi Ghosh, Founder, of Future Education & Healthcare, delivered a special address.

The Bengal Business Council – Bangladesh Chapter was formally established with the goals of fostering economic growth between Bangladesh and Bengal, promoting joint ventures, and bolstering commercial relations. The council wants to establish a thriving business community that assists companies and entrepreneurs in both areas.

At the occasion, Techno India University and Daffodil International University, Bangladesh, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). With the signing of this Memorandum of Understanding, the two prestigious universities will embark on a new chapter of academic cooperation and exchange.

To establish the Franco-Indian Center of Excellence & Culture, Techno India University and Alliance Française du Bengale signed a second Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

The goal of Innovators Over Coffee’s conversation series is to bring back Calcutta’s heyday. This is an attempt to discover new Calcutta symbols in all fields of endeavor and to commemorate the city in a way never seen before. The event was informative and gave everyone a platform for networking thanks to the passionate participation.
