Medanta To Bring Amazing Changes In Healthcare Services In North-East

One of the biggest private multispecialty tertiary care providers in the North and East regions of India, Global Health Limited “Medanta“, announced its entry into the North East with plans to open a super specialty hospital in Guwahati, reaffirming its commitment to providing top-notch healthcare where it is most needed. The Board of Directors, in its meeting, approved the purchase of 3 acres of land from Assam Electricity Grid Corporation Ltd. for Rs. 30 crore plus incidental expenses for registration and possession of the land.
With plans to invest roughly Rs. 500 crores, including land costs, in building a 400-bed, the state-of-the-art super speciality hospital, the project has also been approved by the Board. The proposed location is ideally situated on National Highway 27, providing easy access to the whole Northeast. Over 50 million people in Assam and its neighbouring states will benefit from this expansion, which aims to improve healthcare infrastructure. With world-class medical knowledge, state-of-the-art technology, and comprehensive care across more than 20 super specialties—including transplants and sophisticated robotic procedures—Medanta’s entry into the region will be revolutionary.
This is the start of a revolutionary journey in Assam and its neighbouring states to improve healthcare infrastructure and bring cutting-edge medical care closer to millions of people.
By doing this, the healthcare ecosystem will be strengthened, and underserved communities will be served.
