At a ceremony at the Press Club in Kolkata, the Management & Entrepreneurship and Professional Skills Council (MEPSC) and the Bhaktivedanta Research Center (BRC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking a major step towards fusing India’s rich knowledge traditions with contemporary skill development.

In front of MEPSC authorities, Dr. Sumanta Rudra, Managing Trustee of BRC, solemnly signed the Memorandum of Understanding. Nalanda Learning Systems Private Limited is the PAN India Implementation Partner for this significant endeavor.

Through this partnership, the Pre-school Facilitators and Caregivers Certification Program of MEPSC will incorporate the core principles of the Indian Knowledge System (IKS), such as holistic learning, value-based education, early cognitive development, and cultural grounding.

As part of this collaboration, MEPSC and BRC will:

• Create training materials for early childhood educators based on Indian Knowledge Systems

• Create modules supported by research that emphasize character development, cultural literacy, and holistic child development

• Conduct collaborative research on early childhood education strategies influenced by traditional Indian pedagogy.

• Examine long-term cooperation in curriculum innovation, faculty training, and future early childhood care skill development requirements.
• Create a program for sharing knowledge between MEPSC’s training ecosystem and BRC scholars.

India’s commitment to NEP 2020, which highlights the integration of IKS in all educational levels, particularly early childhood—considered the cornerstone of lifelong learning—is strengthened by this strategic alliance.

Dr. Sumanta Rudra, Managing Trustee – BRC, said, “At the Bhaktivedanta Research Center, we see this partnership as a logical and strategic step in our dedication to the Indian Knowledge System in line with Vikshit Bharat’s objectives. Our university has long been recognized on a global scale for its high caliber of research and rigorous academic standards. We can use that expertise to train and empower the educators who will raise India’s future citizens, thanks to this Memorandum of Understanding”.

This Memorandum of Understanding represents an important turning point in our efforts to improve the early childhood educators’ skill ecosystem. By incorporating the Indian Knowledge System into the Pre-school Facilitators Skill Certification Program, they are guaranteeing that future educators will be grounded in India’s enduring values of child-centered development and holistic learning.
