With more than 800 schools around Asia, the Narayana Group has announced the opening of its first two international schools in India, both of which will be in Kolkata. This is a significant turning point in the organization’s mission to give Indian children access to top-notch education. With a combined investment of Rs 26 crore, the two schools—which are situated in Ramchandrapur and Khidderpore—will generate around 392 jobs in the area.

The schools are meant to provide a contemporary, all-encompassing education. The two-acre Ramchandrapur facility can house more than 1,000 students and will provide Nursery through Grade 9 and Grade 11 instruction. Up to 800 children can be accommodated on the 1.5-acre Khidderpore site, which offers education for pupils in Nursery through Grade 8. To support students’ overall growth, both campuses will have cutting-edge labs, smart classrooms, and sports and performing arts facilities.

The schools seek to develop a generation that is prepared for the future and has the values, abilities, and mindset necessary to thrive in a globalized society, in keeping with the Narayana Group’s goal. Incorporating cutting-edge teaching strategies including project-based learning, STREAM education, and immersive classroom experiences, the curriculum will emphasize academic success. Students will also benefit from collaboration opportunities with renowned tech businesses, startups, and sectors, allowing them to obtain practical expertise and real-world exposure.

The Pedagogy teaching approach, which emphasizes interactive and student-centered learning, will be implemented at Narayana International Schools. Students are encouraged to participate actively, think critically, and solve problems with this method. The schools want to make learning interesting and purposeful, therefore they use strategies like project-based learning, practical exercises, and group projects. This approach guarantees that students achieve academic success and acquire critical life skills necessary to prosper in a world that is changing quickly.

With a low teacher-to-student ratio of 1:20 to guarantee individualized attention, safety, and well-being are given first priority at both schools. Modern security systems, frequent safety exercises, and resources for mental and physical health support will also be available on the campuses. The availability of wellness programs, psychologists, and dietitians will further improve students’ general well-being.

Both institutions have already opened for admission, and classes are scheduled to begin in April 2025. Narayana International Schools are positioned to transform Kolkata’s educational scene with an emphasis on innovation, safety, and holistic development. Narayana Schools’ philosophy would enable its pupils to succeed in all areas and grasp the significance of their roles in this fast-paced, dynamic global environment.
