Five and Dime recently inaugurated its new Durga Puja menu in the august presence of eminent guests like singer Mekhla Dasgupta, artistic director and choreographer Sudarshan Chakraborty, Apeksha Lahiri, owner of The Yellow Turtle, Five and Dime and Asha Audio Company.

The menu consists of dishes like Palak patta chaat, Tomato and dhania shorba, Vegetable cutlet with kasundi, Achari paneer tikka with mint chutney, Fish cutlet with kasundi, Gondhoraj chicken finer with chilli mayo dip, Kaju kishmis pulao, Begun bhaja, Luchi, Cholar dal, Desi murgir jhol aloo diye, Mutton dakbungalow, Silley bata chingri, Kashmiri aloo dum, TD roti and others.

Speaking at the launch Apeksha Lahiri said “We have two timings for the Puja menu. One is 12 to 2 and the other is 2.30 to 4.30. This is available till lunchtime. Special mocktails with a Bengali theme will also be available. There are many kinds of people who go out in the Pujas. It is not an occasion solely for the Bengalis. Hence we have kept different kinds of food available at the outlet so that they can also curb their hunger pangs during the Pujas”.

The Durga Puja menu consists of a lunch buffet priced at Rs 999 and an option with unlimited alcohol with a meal for Rs 1599.

The buffet consists of 32 to 35 items and has a focus on Bengali-themed cocktails that are available throughout the day.

There is an option for Early Bird Food (food and alcohol) that is priced at Rs 899.

This will be available from Sasthi to Dasami at Five and Dime.
