The poster launch of the upcoming Bengali film Danab took place in the presence of the cast and crew.

The film is a psychological thriller that has a real-life story. Shiba works at the morgue. However, due to a twist of fate, the dead body of his loved one came for a postmortem. What will Shiba do? The only loved one in his life was Uma. The next day news breaks out that the dead body had been raped. What will happen next?

Atiul Islam is the director of the film. “The film shows the harsh realities of life. Though coincidental, the audience will find similarities with the RG Kar incident. However, the screenplay was penned before the incident took place. The cruelty of humans in today’s times will be shown in the film. It will also show the extent to which a person can go for the person that they love”.

The cast of the film consists of Rupsha Mukhopadhyay, Kharaj Mukherjee, Anindya Pulak Banerjee, Piyar Khan, and Kaushik Banerjee.

Samidh Mukherjee and Debojyoti Kar are the music composers of the film. The songs have been sung by Javed Ali, Rupam Islam, and others.

The screenplay is by Anubhab Ghosh.
