Dadamoni, Zee Bangla’s newest prime-time fiction show, is an uplifting tale of sibling love, resiliency, and social change. This new drama, which is produced by Nini Chini’s Mamma’s Production, will debut exclusively on Zee Bangla on Monday, July 7, 2025, at 8.30 p.m.

Dadamoni, which is set in rural Bengal, tells the story of Shom, a loving brother who takes on the role of sole caregiver for his four sisters after their father becomes an alcoholic and their mother leaves the family. Shom considers it his duty to ensure their happiness and feels that the only way to ensure their future is to arrange their marriages. Each sister, however, has aspirations that defy convention. Through the influence of Parvati, a childhood friend who is now a kind and progressive doctor, Shom undergoes a transformation from a traditional protector to an understanding supporter.

The narrative honors the deep emotional development of a brother whose sisters are the center of his existence. His sacrifices are manifestations of his unwavering love, not merely deeds. Pratik Sen portrays Shom as a man with few words but many responsibilities. When he becomes close to Parvati (played by Anushka Chakraborty), a woman who respects tradition while promoting progressive choices, his perspective starts to shift.

The story revolves around the four sisters: The oldest, Ratna, assists her brother and acts as the family’s silent rock. She is a school teacher by profession. In order to share the light of education with those who have been left behind, Ratna hopes to one day open her school. The second sister, Reshmi, enjoys eating and is frequently spotted chowing down. She is determined to get better at English. The third sister and the family’s “home minister” is Rani. She closely monitors everything, from running the kitchen to keeping tabs on every penny. She is a strong family pillar, and her siblings are very important to her.

The youngest of the siblings and her brother’s favorite is Rimli. Her cherished “dadamoni” (brother) spoils her endlessly, and she spends every moment of her life praying and showing him love.

In addition to being a family drama, Dadamoni is a moving ode to unwavering love, silent tenacity, and the aspirations that women dare to pursue in a society that doesn’t always make room for them.

In this role, Pratik Sen plays a character who combines maternal warmth and paternal strength—a loving yet determined presence in his sisters’ lives. It also marks his first collaboration with Zee Bangla.

“Dadamoni aims to give proper education to his four sisters and then marry them off to good men. He also has many relations with the people in the village. Hence he is Dadamoni not only for his sisters but also for the people in the village” said Pratik Sen.

Watch “Dadamoni” on Zee Bangla to take in the narrative, which is filled with powerful performances.
