The Jagannath Seva Samiti, Khidirpur celebrated the annual festival of Lord Jagannath – Rath Yatra on 4th July. Thousands of people took part in the Yatra and pulled the Rath. Cherra Panhara, a part of the ritual of Rath Yatra was done by Sri Mahendra Jaipuria, renowned businessman of Kolkata.

World famous Conchshell and Ranapa Dance troupes from Berhampur, Odisha and Ghumura folk dance troupe from Bhwanipatna showcased their impeccable skill during Ratha Yatra Road Show before Kolkata audience. There were also Kirtan troupe and Ghanta group converted the roadshow into a spiritual journey. Chariots were pulled from Central Park Salt Lake to Swabhumi where the deities will stay till the 12th.

At Swabhumi, where the procession comes to an end, the devotees can enjoy cultural displays and exhibitions, revealing the spiritual heart of Odisha.
