Saumya Tandon At Special Screening Of Radio Ghaint

Actress Saumya Tandon and others graced the special screening of Radio Ghaint in Kolkata.
As part of its ongoing celebration of daring, avant-garde filmmaking, Reborn India Film presented Radio Ghaint, an enjoyable and hilarious comedy feature helmed by acclaimed director Indrajit Nattoji. With the always endearing Saumya Tandon in a prominent role, Radio Ghaint promises to be an extremely fun ride that is full of heart, humour, and mayhem.
Radio Ghaint, which is set in the made-up small town of Luvdhiana, centres on a failing radio station that is about to close. When the cast, which includes a romance novelist, a beatboxing security guard, and a self-styled Bollywood diva named Amrita, takes over the plot live on air, a last-ditch attempt to bring it back with a live radio drama ends in chaos. The drama is thrown into a whirlwind of aliens, spies, and unexpected twists by Amrita’s off-script improvisation, which is played with brilliant comic timing by Saumya Tandon. The moving tale of a woman reclaiming her identity and voice is hidden beneath the laughter.
Tandon, who is well-known for her parts in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain! and Jab We Met, gives a vibrant and nuanced performance that gives the ridiculous tone of the movie emotional depth.
The Ladies First anthology, a carefully chosen collection of 50-minute stories told by women, includes Radio Ghaint. The entire Amritsar cityscape was photographed using an iPhone during the film’s production in a Baroda studio. Its stylised slapstick sound design honours Bollywood comedy’s heyday.
A great film to watch with friends and family.
