SBI Honors 29 Amazing Paralympic Winners For Their Contributions
On the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the largest bank in the nation, the State Bank of India (SBI), held a felicitation ceremony to honor India’s Paralympic champions from the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris. 29 Paralympic winners received cheques from the Bank during the occasion, honoring their incredible accomplishments that led to India’s highest-ever 18th-place performance at the Paralympics.
“India’s performance at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games marked a defining moment in our nation’s sporting journey. Through their unwavering perseverance and determination, these athletes have broken down barriers and motivated a country, redefining what is possible. Supporting these champions is an honor for us at SBI, and we remain consistent in our resolve to develop talent and create a more vibrant, inclusive Indian sports ecosystem” said CS Setty, Chairman, of SBI.
Due to its commitment to inclusivity, SBI also announced a collaboration with the Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) as part of its FY 2024-25 CSR initiatives. The partnership aims to distribute assistive devices to approximately 9,000 Divyangjan across 20 locations nationwide.
With the help of these initiatives, SBI’s dedication to empowering individuals, promoting inclusivity, and supporting Indian sports was showcased.
