On the eve of Mr. Amitabh Bachchan’s 76th birthday Harper Collins India released his daughter Shweta Bachchan Nanda’s debut novel Paradise Tower at Nehru Centre, Mumbai. Ace film maker and producer Karan Johar was seen hosting the show.

He mentioned in his speech That Karan and Shweta were friends since childhood. She was a shy girl since childhood and she never came in front. But now that she has come up with a book which has a complete story of today’s society, he is sure that Shweta will win the heart of millions with her witty writing.

Mr. Amitabh Bachchan and Mrs. Jaya Bachchan’s eagerness to unveil the book knew no bounds as they were very proud of their daughter’s achievements.
Big B said that daughters have a special place in his heart. He expressed his happiness on his daughter having written down a book. he also informed that he discussed the scripts with her as he felt that Shweta has better understanding of scripts.

Later on famous critic and director Mr. Raja Sen took over the stage and had a hearty conversation with Shweta Bachchan Nanda.

The event was attended by Shabana Azmi, Tina Ambani, Zoya Akhtar, Vikram Phadnis, Kunal Kapoor and author and film maker Ram Kamal Mukherjee.
