Sikkim Tourism Makes A Great Impact At TTF Kolkata 2025

At the recently inaugurated Travel & Tourism Fair (TTF) in Kolkata, Sikkim Tourism made a great impact.
They introduced two new travel destinations, namely Yangang in South Sikkim and Soreng in West Sikkim. With this initiative, elected members represented themselves on a platform for the first time.
A panel discussion was organized that featured Aditya Golay, MLA of Soreng-Chakung, and Rajkumari Thapa, MLA and Deputy. Speaker. The discussions revolved around the scope of tourism in Sikkim and the positioning of the new destinations.
Yangang and Soreng will open new destinations and also foster great connections and help uplift all the Sikkimese families.
Attendees at TTF can look forward to amazing discussions on crucial aspects like:
- Evolution of slow travel, the new district of Soreng, and rural tourism
- Development and promotion of South Sikkim as a gateway to Sikkim Tourism- Opportunities and challenges
- Tourism and hospitality in Sikkim
Sikkim Tourism will also be launching its newly revamped tourism website, accompanied by a live demonstration. The site will show a user-friendly interface and detailed information on all the destinations.
To celebrate the launch of Yangang and Soreng, Sikkim Tourism will announce a special gateway- five all-paid trips to Soreng and Yangang. Three trips for travel agents (designed for a family of four) and two trips for influencers (for a couple). The winners will be chosen through a lucky draw for attendees. The attendees will have to complete a two-step registration process- online pre-registration and a physical check-in at the Sikkim Tourism stall.
Sikkim Tourism’s focus is on developing a sustainable and inclusive tourism ecosystem in the state and empowering local people through homestays and rural tourism.
