The official unveiling ceremony of the JBG Kolkata Marathon 2025 participants’ T-shirt and Finisher’s Medal was organized by Sportiz.

It was unveiled by the Event Ambassadors, Mr. Milind Soman, Model, Actor, Endurance Athlete, and fitness icon; Ms. Ankita Konwar, Fitness Influencer and Ironman Finisher; along with Mr. Gaurav Jajodia, Director, Jai Balaji Group, and Mr. Nishant Maheshwari, CEO & Founder, Sportz.

In the lead-up to the 10th JBG Kolkata Marathon 2025, this unveiling served as a symbolic event that reaffirmed the themes of movement, legacy, and the close bond between Kolkata and its runners.

The theme of the participants’ T-shirts for this milestone 10th edition is “Leaving a Footprint – Inspiring a Movement”. With the claim that each runner adds to the energy and momentum of this community race, the centerpiece is a striking shoe sole print with the event name “JBG Kolkata Marathon 2025”, recalling the innumerable footfall that have shaped the marathon’s history.

The T-shirt, which is made by Athems, is made of fabric that is lightweight, breathable, quick-drying, and protected with UV and anti-odor properties.

Milind Soman said, “For beginners, I will advise to take it slow. It is a community space. So enjoy with your friends and family. Take it slow and do not over-exert yourself”.

Before the race, on November 28 and 29, 2025, all entrants will receive their T-shirts as part of their participation package at the Bib Expo.

Milind Soman also said, “I have been coming to Kolkata since the early 1980s. But I have never been part of a marathon that goes through Park Street. That is an added attraction. Moreover, sustaining a marathon for a long time is also commendable for the organisers as well”.

The topic of this year’s customized Finisher’s Medal is A Decade of Glory-A new chapter at the Maidan. Designed to be an enduring symbol of pride, its circular form pays homage to continuity and communal heritage, and its antique gold finish lends it a respectable, high-end appearance befitting this historic edition.

The Victoria Memorial’s cutout silhouette serves as a defining element, securing the medal to the Maidan, the new location for the marathon, and strengthening the connection between the run and Kolkata’s famous landscape. The rim is embellished with delicate engravings of Kolkata’s cultural elements, such as bridges, yellow taxis, and local landmarks, firmly anchoring the design in the city’s distinct identity. The engraved “10” signifies ten years of collaborative accomplishment.

The marathon will take place on 30th November 2025.
