With the release of its Durga Puja 2025 Theme Song, “BijAngan,” written and composed by Smt. Mamata Banerjee, Hon’ble Chief Minister of West Bengal, Tala Prattoy, the site of one of Kolkata’s most famous Durga Pujas, celebrated its centenary year with pride. This song reflects Banerjee’s longstanding artistic and cultural ties to Bengal’s heritage.

Mr. Indranil Sen, Minister of State, Tourism Department, Technical Education, Training & Skill Development Department, and Department of Information & Cultural Affairs, Government of West Bengal, has sung the song and officially introduced it.

Mr. Anirban Chakraborty directed the music video for “BijAngan,” which combines vibrant imagery with the joyous spirit of Durga Puja to provide viewers with an enthralling audiovisual experience.

“BijAngan is a tribute to the timeless spirit of Durga Puja, Bengal’s heritage, and the cultural essence that unites us as we celebrate a century of Tala Prattoy. We were honored that the Hon’ble Chief Minister composed this special anthem for our centenary year, beautifully rendered by Shri Indranil Sen,” said  Mr. Dhrubajyoti Bose Suvo, Secretary, MassArt.

The debut of “BijAngan” gave Tala Prattoy’s centennial festivities a unique cultural element and produced a joyous prelude that appealed to devotees and culture vultures in Bengal and beyond.
