The Smart Kids 3.0 Grand Finale was successfully held at the Dhono Dhanyo Auditorium in Alipore by Young Indians (Yi) Kolkata. More than 500 kids and parents attended the event, which provided an afternoon of inspiring performances, education, and learning.

Yi Kolkata’s in-house financial literacy initiative for kids ages 6 to 13 is called Smart Kids. In its third year, the program spans three to four months and includes weekly meetings, coaching, and practical experiences like this year’s most enlightening Hyatt tour. Students creatively demonstrate their learning through performances and displays at the final carnival, which marks the culmination of the trip.

In keeping with Yi’s goal of equipping kids with financial literacy at a young age, the day’s high point was the signing of an MOU between Young Indians and RP Goenka International School to expand the Smart Kids financial literacy program to their students.

During the event, Revant Himmatsingka, commonly known as Food Pharmer, a well-known nutritionist and content producer, gave parents and children an enlightening talk about food marketing tricks. He urged families to form the practice of reading labels before ingesting food by describing how ingredient lists and packaging can be deceptive. Additionally, Revant presented his initiative, “Label Padhega India”, which promotes healthier consumer choices and national knowledge of food labeling.

Children demonstrated their knowledge of money management and entrepreneurship by performing thematic acts like India-Polly, Evolution of Bank, Spending Smart Saving Big, and The Day Kids Become Sellers at the start of the event.
