Tiger Calendar- A Great Peek At The Indian Tiger

Starmark unveiled the Tiger Calendar, which includes images taken by renowned wildlife photographer, nature conservationist, and food entrepreneur Mr. Shiladitya Chaudhury. The calendar offers an intimate and thought-provoking look at the Indian tiger in its natural habitat by compiling striking photos taken around India’s national parks and wildlife sanctuaries.
The launch was graced by Dr Dhriti Banerjee, Director, Zoological Survey of India, Mr Abhishek Roy, Fashion Designer, and Mr Shiladitya Chaudhury, Wildlife Photographer, Nature Conservationist & Foodpreneur.
The calendar depicts the tiger in a variety of ways through striking imagery and introspective thoughts: majestic yet vulnerable, dominant yet progressively constrained. Every month, Mr. Shiladitya Chaudhury’s views are paired with an eye-catching photo to create a narrative that transcends imagery to examine the realities of coexistence and conservation.
The launch coincides with an important turning point in India’s conservation efforts. Currently, the nation is home to more than 3,700 tigers, making up over 78% of all wild tigers worldwide. The calendar, which commemorates Project Tiger’s 50th anniversary, highlights the achievements of persistent conservation efforts while also highlighting new issues, most notably the growing problem of conflict between humans and animals as human settlements continue to spread into forested areas.
Fundamentally, the Tiger Calendar honors India’s forest guides and guards—the unsung heroes who put forth endless effort, frequently at personal peril, to conserve wildlife and forest ecosystems. The calendar looks ahead, highlighting the necessity of ongoing dedication to conservation and cohabitation, with the next all-India tiger census set for 2026.
The Tiger Calendar, which has photographs by Shiladitya Chaudhury, is available at all Starmark stores for Rs 395.
