Toofan has been released in 20 countries and has been well-received by critics and audiences.  The film will be released tomorrow in India.

Before the release of the film, a press conference was organized that was graced by Shakib Khan, Mimi Chakraborty, director Raihan Rafi, Mahendra Soni, and Shahriar Shakil.

“With Toofan gaining such love and support from the audience worldwide, we are hopeful that the audience in Bengal will also love it. This is a new endeavor to bring back the amazing world of commercial cinema for the audience. With renowned producers from India and Bangladesh coming together to make this film, it got all the help needed to make a successful film” said Shakib.

Mimi stressed the fact that instead of comparing Bengali films with other language films, it would be better to go to the halls and watch them. “I have many people who come up and click pictures with me. However, they say that they do not watch Bengali films. That is wrong. Support Bengali films as much as you support other language films” added the actress.

The director when questioned whether there will be a sequel of Toofan said that the audience will have to watch the film to know the answer. “Even officials at the censor board questioned us when we will be making the sequel of this film. Many people compare it with KGF or Animal because of Shakib Khan’s looks. However, the story is different. Look wise they might look similar but the treatment is different” said the director.

Toofan is Mimi’s first film in Bangladesh. The actress said that she had a great time working on the film. “I cannot work with cold people. I need to have a warm environment so that I can do my best. Working with Shakib was a great experience. Despite being so popular in Bangladesh, he is a humble guy” added the actress.

Whether you are a fan of Mimi or Shakib Khan or simply commercial films, Toofan surely has something for everyone.
