Trailer And Music Of Short Film The Phoenix Out Now
The trailer and music launch of the short film The Phoenix took place in the presence of the cast and crew of the film.
Joydip Chakraborty, an NRI and multi-talented engineer who resides in Abu Dhabi, wrote the uplifting story of the film The Phoenix. He has a strong history in both acting and stage show directing. Under his own company, Sabitri Productions, he has also produced the film.
The screenplay writing and direction have been done by Paayel Chouudhury. She is a young, multi-talented writer-director from Kolkata who has worked on web series, a full-length Hindi feature film, and more than 95 short films for various OTT platforms. Her bilingual full-length feature picture and several of her short films were selected for official screenings and won numerous international prizes. Her cinematic career began in 2002.
With its distinct twist and turn drama, The Phoenix draws attention to two primary issues: dementia and its impact on those who are afflicted, as well as the anguish of those who are with them and love them. The second problem is the generation’s aspirations, including their feelings of optimism, disappointment, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts and actions when they are unable to achieve their objectives. It’s hardly a gloomy tale, though. It tells the narrative of a girl who fights back with the support of her friend, philosopher, and mentor—a psychologist and psychotherapist. It also tells the tale of their selfless, unconditional, and divine platonic love. This well-made English short film is set in the picturesque locales of Mandarmani and Kolkata and is about mid-length.
The music was composed by Soumya Sarkar.
The film will be released in January.
