Royal Stag Barrel Select Large Short Films organized a riveting conversation in the presence of Abir Chatterjee, Ritabhari Chakraborty, Satarupa Sanyal, Mishti, Raj Chaudhary, Aniruddha Roy Choudhry and others.

Trailers of the three films directed by Satarupa Sanyal, Aniruddha Roy Choudhry and Raj Chaudhary were screened at the event prior to the discussion.

Maya by Aniruddha Roy Choudhry stars Abir and Padmapriya. It is a unique love story about a boy who is in love with a girl without the girl having any knowledge about his feelings. The boy speaks with the girl over the phone without revealing his true identity.

Speaking about the film, Abir Chatterjee said “This is the kind of love that used to happen in our times. I still remember my parents used to ask me to write down the minutes that I have talked over the phone. And any STD calls that I used to make was late at night as the charges were less then”.

Fools for Love directed by Satarupa Sanyal stars Ritabhari Chakraborty and Anurag Kashyap in lead roles. The story is about an Anglo Indian couple Allan and Beatrice. Beatrice’s husband visits her after two years of disappearance. This leads to a mixed bag of emotions in her. What happens next?

Satarupa Sanyal thanked Royal Stag Barrel Select Large Short Films for giving her the opportunity to make the film, without having to think about the release of the film.

Ritabhari said “During the intimate scenes, I was worried as I knew my mother was behind the camera. She on the other hand used to shout and say that I was not doing it right. It was quite an awkward situation actually shooting the film”.

The Last Chapter stars Mishti and K K Menon in pivotal roles. The film is directed by Raj Chaudhary and produced by Lara Dutta. The story is about a writer Dr Vinayak Satya who has been awarded with the Padma Shri. He posts a live blog on his inability to receive the award. The reason for this decision is written in the last chapter of the book that he is writing.

Mishti who acted for the very first time in a short film was paired opposite K K Menon. She said “I was quite nervous as I was shooting opposite such a talented actor. However I was able to pull it off. It was quite an enriching experience”.

The conversation was engaging and kept the audiences hooked to their seats!!
