Actress Urvashi Rautela and singer Raftaar was in Kolkata to perform at a New Year bash event at a renowned city hotel.

Urvashi and Raftaar met the media at Saffron Lounge before the event.

Speaking the press conference, Urvashi said “I believe in Ma Durga and to come and spend the new Year with my team and family in Kolkata means a lot to me. Whenever I come to Kolkata, there is a feeling of happiness in my heart”.

Raftaar’s New Year resolution is to do what he loves, earn enough money and to keep his family safe and happy.

Urvashi also revealed that she and Raftaar would be performing live for the first time the song, Sara Zamana from the film Kaabil. “This is among the biggest hits of my career. The same goes for Raftaar too. It was an amazing song. I am thankful to Raftaar for the song. I did not get the chance to say so before, but I am thanking him now” added the actress.

Urvashi also revealed that her upcoming film is Daaku Maharaaj. Apart from the actress, the film also stars Nandamuri Balakrishna, Bobby Deol, Dalquer Salmaan, Prakash Raj and others in pivotal roles.

When questioned who Urvashi’s favourite Bengali director is, she said that the late Rituparno Ghosh was her favourite director. She had watched his film Raincoat and got to know much about the Bengali culture and traditions. She also said that Devdas was another film that taught her much about Bengali culture.

Raftaar was questioned about the growth of rap in Indian music. He said that he was thankful that the audience was appreciating rap music and this has led him to make such more rap music.

The press conference ended with Raftaar revealing that he will again be coming to Kolkata in March 2025. This is indeed a piece of great news for the fans of Raftaar.
