Srijit Mukherji’s recently released film Vinci Da completed fifty days of its run at the box office recently on 1st June 2019.

The event was graced by director Srijit Mukherji, Rudranil Ghosh, Ritwick Chakraborty, Anirban Bhattacharya and Riddhi Sen.

The crime thriller revolves around an obsessed make-up artiste Vinci Da (Rudranil Ghosh) who is struggling to make his own place in the film industry. He somehow failed to make his mark however in the industry despite his father being a renowned make-up artiste. He meets Aadi Bose (Ritwick) a serial killer and his life undergoes a change. What happens next?

Srijit Mukherji mentioned that he has in mind a sequel of the film Vinci Da. However he also added that the new film will be made after some time. The sequel will be penned down by Srijit Mukherji with inputs from Rudranil Ghosh who wrote the story for Vinci Da.

Ritwick who played the role of the serial killer in the film said “This is a great moment as the audiences loved the film and we also have completed fifty days. Many people have watched the film more than once also. This is a great time for Bengali films as many movies like Konttho, Mukherjee Dar Bou are doing well at the box office”.

Anirban Bhattacharya mentioned that he has been able to judge the reaction of the audience from the memes made for the film. “Either the memes are made when someone likes a film or when someone dislikes a film. I am taking it in a positive manner and hence I think that the audience loved the film” said the actor.

Srijit Mukherji further added that he has been told by the audience that he should make one thriller every year.

Riddhi Sen focussed on the fact that the audiences are looking forward to content driven films now. And Vinci Da has satisfied this urge.

The cast along with the director cut the cake and celebrated the fifty days run of the film.
