The compelling tale “Widows’ Shadow” centres on the lives of two women from disparate social classes who are brought together by their common experiences with discrimination and oppression. The film examines the difficulties faced by the LGBTQ+ community, the destructive effects of caste-based violence, and the resiliency of the human spirit.

A press conference for the upcoming Hindi film was organized recently and was graced by the cast and crew of the film.

The film is directed by Suman Adhikary.

“I did not expect that the film will such great positive feedback. This is more than I expected. I am immensely grateful to the audience for their love till now,” said the director.

Sankalitaa Roy, Palak Kayath, Pallavi Bhatt, Nandita Purohit and Avani Nagar will be seen in pivotal roles in the film.

“Whenever you work, you do not have a great time. You go through so many challenges at work, and your main focus is to do the job at hand correctly. But when the film is finally released, you remember what you did to prepare for the scene or what challenges you faced. It is a great feeling now,” said Palak Kayath.

The story of the film was written by Sankalitaa Roy. “I do not think that I have written a story on a very unusual theme. This is happening daily around us. If you keep your eyes and ears open, you too can write on this topic,” said Sankalitaa.

Sankalitaa also said that though the production unit is a small one, it does not have any dearth of great talent. Everyone worked hard to make the film possible, and now that the film will be released, she is excited to see the reaction of the audience.

Subir Dutta Productions, Line Producers India & Fixers, and Rat Race Frames have joined hands to make this film.

The film is slated for release on the 18^th of April.
