The much-awaited 4th edition of Techno Olympica Knights, a stunning six-day athletic event, came to an end. This was an initiative of the Techno India Group.

The grand closing ceremony was graced by Mr Yogesh Kathuniya, renowned Indian Paralympic athlete, former Arjuna Awardee and medalist, Shri Hansi Premjit Sen, Referee & Judge World Karate Federation & Asian Karate Federation, President Karate Association of, Bengal, along with Prof. Manoshi Roychowdhury, Co-Chairperson, Techno India Group.

In 2024, Techno Olympica Knights witnessed the participation of over 1,900 students from more than 105 schools across West Bengal, with more than 900 of them being girls.

Smt. Diya Roy, a student at Techno India Group Public School, TIGPS, Konnagar, who trained under Shri Hansi Premjit Sen and won gold and silver medals at the 11th Commonwealth Karate Championship in Durban, South Africa, motivated the young athletes with her incredible story of tenacity and willpower.

Numerous competitive sports were played at the event, demonstrating the pupils’ skill, self-control, and sportsmanship. With captivating performances and an emphasis on holistic health, the closing ceremony was a thrilling celebration of athleticism.

Techno Olympica Knights encouraged young people to be resilient both psychologically and physically by promoting principles like leadership, teamwork, and self-confidence.

The participating schools at the competition were the Techno India Group Public Schools (TIGPS) across various locations, such as Garia, Ariadaha, Konnagar, and Balurghat, along with Kanchrapara English Medium School, Apeejay Schools in Park Street and Salt Lake, Army Public School Kolkata, Assembly Of Christ School, and Athlead School International. Silver Point School, Andrew High School (HS), Nadia Public School, The Assembly of God Church School, Bhavans Gangabux Kanoria Vidyamandir, Indus Valley World School, Bishop George Mission School in Ghatakpur, Kalidhan Institution, National English School in Baguiati, Kamala Chatterjee School for Girls, Sir Nripendranath Girls High School (HS), Calcutta Public School in Kalikapur, Jadavpur High School, National Public School, Bamanghata High School, Jagabandhu Institution, St Anne’s School, Lake School for Girls, Hariyana Vidya Mandir, Future Hope School, Beltala Girls High School, Sri Aurobindo Institute of Education, and Jadavpur N. K. Pal Adarsha Sikshayatan among others.

Additionally, the event gave the young athletes a stage on which to shine and develop friendships, fostering a healthy spirit of competition and bridging barriers between pupils from diverse backgrounds.
