Guru Nanak Institute of Hotel Management under JIS Group announced the winners at the closing ceremony of the 7th World Food Competition.

The closing ceremony was held at Taal Kutir Convention Centre on 23rd February.

Anmol Singh Narula, Director JIS Group, Sardar Simarpreet Singh, Director JIS Group, Ajay Chopra, Celebrity Master Chef, Sanjeev Kapoor, Celebrity Master Chef Kunal Kapoor, Celebrity Master Chef, Xavier Gomez, Advisor Gurunanak Institute of Hotel Management, Bidyut Majumdar, General Manager Business Development, JIS Group, Jayanta Ghosh, Principal, Gurunanak Institute of Hotel Management graced the closing ceremony.

The 7th International Food Competition’s thrilling and delectable three-day trip has come to an end. Talented chefs from all over the world displayed their abilities and ingenuity at the tournament. The World Food Competition has served as a venue for promoting sustainable practices in the food business in addition to being a festival of cuisine. Each and every competitor forged their path to tasty success, embodying the spirit of the competition and underlining the significance of practical and moral practices in the food sector.

Among them the first runner-up for the category of the best chef is Deacon van Pletzen (South Africa), the best cake icing is Ushashie Rauth (India), best fruit carving is Md. Saif Khan (India), and the best mixology is Eduardo Yousef Zoughbi (Palestine).

The winners in different categories are:

  • Best cake icing Lize-Van Der Merwe (Namibia)
  • Best fruit carving Subha Ray (India)
  • Best mixology Viola Hoeflien (Austria)
