Sustainability is an important concept in today’s times. Understanding this need of the hour, Make Calcutta Relevant Again (MCRA) and Greenwaves Environmental Solutions in association with LaSustaina, Café Offbeat, and Y-East unveiled the unique 10-foot Christmas tree.

The amazing tree has been designed by Twirl.store.

It is made of waste or unwanted materials.

The tree has been named Trash Tree.

The tree was unveiled by Barbara Voss, Consul General of Germany in Kolkata, Meghdut Roychowdhury, Founder of Make Calcutta Relevant Again and Chief Innovation Officer, Techno India Group, Sujata Chatterjee, Founder of Twirl.store and others.

The main aim of creating this Trash tree was to make people aware of the uses of upcycling and recycling.

A group of children sang Christmas carols to liven the festive spirit.
