For the first time ever, Sony Entertainment Television will be hosting the Grandest Finale of Indian Idol – Season 12 this Independence Day. This musical event will have over 40 acts spanning 12 hours.

The audiences will witness some of the popular musical maestros from the Indian music industry coming together to encourage the finalists and entertain viewers in a super special way.

After weeks of grueling auditions, gala rounds, and entertaining performances week after week, Indian Idol 12 found its top 6 finalists in Pawandeep Rajan, Arunita Kanjilal, Sayli Kamble, Shanmukhpriya, Nihal Tauro, and Mohd Danish.

Aditya Narayan will be co-anchoring the musical event with Jay Bhanushali and their funny banter will keep the audiences hooked.

To commemorate the country’s Independence Day, the event will begin with a heartfelt and endearing tribute to the armed forces. Himesh Reshammiya and Sonu Kakkar will be wowing the audiences with amazing performances in this finale. A special host will make the contestants loosen up a bit and play a game loaded with trivia. The show will also take a closer look at the top 6 finalists’ glorious and emotional journey through a tete-e-tete.

Anu Malik said that he has seen the growth of this musical show in scale and reach. He has also seen the growth in singing quality presentation and confidence of the contestants. The twelve-hour-long event is a perfect ending to this amazing show.
