120th Annual General Meeting Of Merchant’s Chamber Of Commerce & Industry
The 120th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Merchant’s Chamber of Commerce & Industry was graced by Dr. Patha Chatterjee, Hon’ble Minister of Industry, Commerce & Enterprises, Information Technology & Electronics and Parliament Affairs, Government of West Bengal (digitally), Chandranath Sinha, Hon’ble Minister of MSME & Textiles, Government of West Bengal, Aakash Shah, President, MCCI and Rishabh Kothari, Sr. Vice president, MCCI.
The Merchants’ Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI) started in 1901. It has emerged as one of the dynamic Chambers in Kolkata. The Chamber has been at the forefront of challenges and championed the causes of Indigenous industry.
Dr. Partha Chatterjee said that the pandemic has led to losses. However by developing the MSME sector, one can overcome this period of crisis.
Newly appointed President, Mr. Rishabh C. Kothari said that the MCCI will continue to give opportunities for development and growth for the members by following the 4E’s. The four 4E’s are Explore, Educate, Empower and Enable. He hoped that this will lead to the 5th E that is Excellence in different spheres.
MCCI will continue reinventing itself and acting as a catalyst for the development of the business community.
