Sougata Roy Choudhury, Executive Director, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Raman Dua, Founder and CEO of Save Max Group of Companies, Rohit Jain, Vijay Pratap Shrikent, Dr. Amrita Chakravarty Bhattacharya, and Aman Aditya Sachdev, Director and Regional Head at EHL Advisory Services for South Asia, Middle East, and Myanmar announced the 18-month Vocational Education and Training (VET) Professional Diploma program.

The program is by Ecole hoteliere de Lausanne/EHL Education Group of Switzerland. The Diploma program will be delivered at the CII Institute of Hospitality in Kolkata and IHCL Hotels in Bangalore and Goa.

With the help of this professional program, the students will be able to be ready for the industry and the industry will get ready professionals that they can employ. The students will be ready for hospitality jobs and will have ample training to perform well at the jobs.

A total of 100 students who have passed their class 12 board exams will be enrolled in the first batch at the CII Institute of Hospitality. The students will be there for the first six months and will be a trainer for a year at luxury IHCL properties in Bangalore and Goa with a total of 50 students.

The program will offer to learn in three distinct streams namely Culinary, Food and beverage service & rooms.

The students will get online access to the Global Learning Management System (LMS). The students will be accessed on the basis of their theoretical knowledge of the LMS and the practical skills that they will acquire during their training. CII will also assist the students in enrolling themselves in a UGC-recognized degree.

The total fees for this program are Rs 3, 30, 000 plus taxes.
