1st Edition Of The Salt Lake Affordable Art Fair Organized
The Salt Lake Affordable Art Fair was organized at Aikatan Cultural Centre recently. It was a grand display of artists from different parts of Bengal.
The fair was inaugurated by Qin Yong, Acting Consul General of the People’s Republic of China, and Mallika Chanda, the curator of the event and Founder of Daughtor Art Gallery.
The fact that Mr. Yong was present highlighted how important the occasion was for promoting cross-cultural understanding and showcasing the universal language of art.
With more than 2000 intriguing artworks on show and over 100 renowned artists, this amazing event promised to be a celebration of art accessible to everybody. There is something to capture the interest of each art aficionado, whether they are interested in paintings, sculptures, photography, or mixed media. Additionally, live pottery classes were held to provide practical experience.
Prominent artists were Satyabrata Karmakar, Nur Ali, Indrajit Narayan, Bappa Bhowmik, and Joydev Bala along with renowned sculptors Chandan Bhandari and Shikha Chatterjee.
