The 27th Annual Kalakar Awards 2019 was organized at Science City auditorium in the august presence of eminent celebrities from Tollywood and Bollywood.

The Living Legend Award was presented to Asha Parekh and Chitra Sen for their invaluable contribution to Indian cinema.

Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to actress Shubha Khote.

The Best Film was Kishore Kumar Junior and the Best Director was Kaushik Ganguly.

The King of Tollywood award was presented to Prosenjit Chatterjee for Kishore Kumar Junior. The actor dedicated a song for Asha Parekh and sang it to entertain the audience. He also sang a popular song from his film Chirodini Tumi Je Amar.

Abir Chatterjee and Priyanka Sarkar were awarded with the Best Actor and Best Actress award.

The Best Story Writer was awarded to Debolina Das for Footpath.

The Best Musical Short Film award went to Faagun.

Kasautii Zindagii Key on Star Plus won the Best Serial Award. Erica Fernandes won the Most Popular Actress Award while Ssanjay Sswaraaj won the award for Best Actor in a Negative Role.

The Best Playback Singer was given to Nikhita Gandhi for the film Sanju.

Spirited performances by Jojo and others, kept the audiences hooked to their seats.
