29th KIFF Ends With An Amazing Prize Distribution Ceremony
After an amazing run, the 29th Kolkata International Film Festival came to an end.
The event was attended by actress Aditi Rao Hydari, Mamata Shankar, director Sudhir Mishra, and several other eminent dignitaries.
The winners in the different categories are as follows:
The film Challenge directed by Ramen Borah and Sibanu Borah won the Golden Royal Bengal Tiger Award for Best Indian Documentary Film.
The Last Rehearsal by director Kamil Saif also won the Golden Royal Bengal Tiger Award for Best Indian Short Film.
The NETPAC Award for Best Film went to Broken Dreams Stories From The Myanmar Coup directed by Ninefold Mosaic.
The Special Jury Award for Best Bengali Panorama went to Asampurno directed by Amartya Sinha.
The Golden Royal Bengal Tiger Award for Best Bengali Panorama Film went to Mon Potongo directed by Rajdeep Paul and Sarmistha Maiti.
The Special Jury Award for Indian Language Films went to Josephs Son directed by Haibam Paban Kumar.
The Hiralal Sen Memorial Award for Best Director was awarded to Avni Ki Kismat directed by Shonet Anthony Barretto.
The Hiralal Sen Memorial Award for Best Film went to Gorai Phakhri directed by Rajni Basumatary.
The Special Jury Award for International Competition on Innovation in Moving Images went to Chalchitra Ekhon directed by Anjan Dutt.
The event also saw the presence of Mohan Agashe and Sharmila Tagore.
