The 2nd edition of the Niri9 International Film Festival was organized at Kala Mandir, Kolkata on 25th-26th March 2023. The festival was last held in 2021 when it was organized in Guwahati.

The chief guests at this event were National Award-winning actress Seema Biswas, renowned singer Zubeen Garg and singer Carlyta Mouhini.

Niri9 is a Guwahati-based multi-lingual OTT platform where films, web series, short films, documentaries, music videos, etc are available for viewing in 7 countries.

33 films/short films/documentaries were selected as final selections to be considered for cash awards.

There were 3 categories in which awards were given- feature films, short films, and documentaries.

Some of the films selected in the different categories were Ojah, Panisokori, Man and the Wild, Red, Ukirdyacha Gharat, and others.
