2nd Edition Of The International Short Film Festival Inaugurated At ICCR
The inauguration of the 2nd edition of the International Short Film Festival, ISFF 2022 was held on the 27th of May at ICCR.
The initiative is powered by JIS Group Educational Initiatives.
The film festival will showcase the independent voice and the little wonders of the filmmakers of tomorrow.
International Short Film Festival focuses vividly on the attributes of Santhali Cinema and that of LGBTQ+ cinema and gender-neutral cinema as well as an anti-war film.
Honorable Minister of Forest & Minister of State for Consumer Affairs Government of West Bengal, Birbaha Hansda, Alokananda Roy, Anusuya Majumdar, Kalyan Sen Borat, Pandit Kumar Bose, Pradipta Roy, and others graced the inauguration ceremony.
The film festivals have films from Nepal, Manipur, Europe, America, Egypt, Venice, France, and many more. There will be a screening of a total of 64 films from 30 nations. Some of the highlighting film festivals are Look at the Sky, Nauha, Shabnam, Roqaia, I am afraid to forget your face, Layla, Transit, Censor of Dreams, August Sky, The Last day of Patriarchy, Systam, Kopfkino, Opnag, Stephanie, Lemongrass Girl, Lili Alone, Erolnungdagi (From the Depth), Only the wind knows the Truth, Mohot, Sekool, Son of Vultures, Bare Trees in the Mist, Clinton, Najariyaa & Sacred Galuchi.

Soumendu Roy will be awarded with Lifetime Achievement Award for his excellence in the field of cinema. Madhabi Mukherjee will be honoring Sri Soumendu Roy.
Panel Discussions, Film Networking, Masterclass on Film Pitching, Funding & Distribution by Arifur Rahman, Masterclass on Screen Acting by Naila Nupur Azad & Masterclass on Cinema Appreciation by Sanjay Mukhopadhay will also be organized.
The Film Festival will be held from 27th to 29th May 2022 at ICCR, Satyajit Ray Auditorium Kolkata.
