3000 Eager People Turns Up At Annakut Utsav
To showcase cultural richness and communal harmony, Jiban Saha, the Councillor of Ward No. 57 and Member Mayor-in-Council (MMIC) at the Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC), organized a grand Annakut Utsav at the KMC premises.
More than 3000 eager people turned out to celebrate this happy occasion, and it was a festivity that took place with great enthusiasm.
The ceremonial presentation of 101 different dishes as bhog, or the multiplicity of offerings presented in thanksgiving to the divine, was the central event of the Annakut Utsav.
As they participated in this holy rite with the deepest reverence, the attendees—representing the community’s unique fabric—created a sense of dedication and solidarity.
The attendance of distinguished guests elevated the occasion to unprecedented levels of grandeur, with each individual adding to the celebration’s significance.
Eminent personalities like Sudip Bandhopadhyay, Lok Sabha MP, Mala Roy, Lok Sabha MP & Chairperson of KMC, Shashi Panja, Cabinet Minister in the Government of West Bengal, Pradip Majumder, Cabinet Minister in the Government of West Bengal, Sujit Bose, Cabinet Minister in the Government of West Bengal, Nayana Bandhopadhyay, MLA, Atin Ghosh, MLA and Deputy Mayor of KMC, and Shreya Pandey, Convenor of Manicktalla TMC, along with many North Kolkata TMC Councillors and Ward Presidents graced the occasion.
Under the inspiring direction of Jiban Saha, the Annakut Utsav highlighted Kolkata’s inclusive and united attitude while also showcasing the city’s rich cultural tapestry. Beyond its religious significance, the occasion provided a forum for building relationships, honoring diversity, and advancing the ideals that underpin our society.
