Bawri Firky, a fashion and life style pop-up show organized its 3rd edition in Kolkata. The event had exhibitors from across India who showcased their exclusive collections.

With a focus on a social cause, Bawri Firky was curated by 2 women entrepreneurs, Swati Bajoria and Shilpa Jhawar for a cause which was to uplift the position of women. This year the focus was on the importance of empowering women in association with ‘Yeh Mera India’, the social cause partner for the event. In collaboration with their partner “Yeh Mera India” they will be training 10 underprivileged women to learn Kantha embroidery and implement their learning in 10 different types of products ranging from clothes, mats, home décor items and lifestyle products.

Shamlu Dudeja was the Chief Guest at the event. The embroidered products was endorsed by 10 renowned brands and displayed through a fashion show involving 10 power women of the city, like Usha Uthup, Preeyam Budhia, Sarbari Dutta, Swati Pasari, Vayjayanti Pugalia, Chaiti Ghoshal and more.
