3rd International Nepali Literary Symposium Organized in Kolkata
The 3rd International Nepali Literary Symposium was organized at Bharatiya Bhasa Parishad Bhawan, Kolkata. The two days long symposium was inaugurated in the august presence of Ganga Prasad Uprety, Chancellor, Nepal Academy, Pabitra Sarkar, Ex-Vice Chancellor of Rabindra Bharati University, Bharat Kumar Regmi, Honorable Charge d’ Affairs, Embassy of Nepal, New Delhi and others.
The symposium is a means to showcase the rich cultural heritage and cultural exchanges of Nepali and other literature.
Poets, literary experts from Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar and other parts of India joined this conference. A collection of the anthology and a Kabya Sangraha was released during the event. The name of the Sangraha is Basanta written by Basanta Chaudhary while Laaj is by Tikaram Bhitrikoti. A documentary by Tulsi Prabhas was also screened during the two days symposium.
The literary meet was supported by the Embassy of Nepal in India, the Nepal Consulate General Office in Kolkata and B.P. Koirala India-Nepal Foundation.
