The Saree Saga (TSS) is a Facebook Group that started its journey on 22nd April 2015 and now comprises of almost 70,000 Indian women from every nook and corner of the world. The group celebrated its 4th anniversary titled “Embrace And Empower” at Regenta Orkos, Kolkata.

The event was inaugurated by Ms Urmi Roy, Administrative Head, New Light NGO, Mr Sudarshan Chakravorty, Choreographer and Artistic Director at Sapphire Creations Dance Academy, Mr Sobhan Mukherjee and Ms Vedaprana Purkayastha, Founder of TSS.

The Saree Saga is a Facebook group that was started to promote draping. This event was a humble attempt to make womanhood inclusive.

Urmi Roy, Sudarshan Chakravorty and others emphasised on women education, women development and the upliftment of their position in the society.

Almost 100 members of TSS from all section of the society were present to celebrate the occasion. Children of the sex workers showcased their talents in front of the members and the guests.
