The 4^th annual conference of Society of Therapeutic Neuro-Intervention (STNI) was organized for three days in Kolkata. Dr Sukalyan Purkayastha addressed the press and highlighted on the theme of the medical conference.

The theme of STNI 2020 is Happy Brain which explains the true essence of what the doctors do.

The medical conference has been divided into various sessions of lectures from doctors across the globe including the anatomy, pathology and treatment of complex neuro-vascular diseases including Stroke, Tumors, Aneurysms and others.

Hands on training sessions also were organized where live case demonstrations by experienced neuro-interventionists were shown.

Dr Purkayastha highlighted on the fact that brain problems like stroke can be resolved if the patient is taken to the hospital within the golden time period- which is 6 hours after the stroke happens. But many people are not aware of the symptoms and hence the delay in getting the treatment. Understanding the symptoms of brain stroke will help in saving the lives of the patients easily.

With the help of this medical conference, the doctors wanted to raise awareness among the people regarding brain diseases and how they can combat them with timely intervention.
