4th Bengal International Short Film Festival Inaugurated
The inaugural ceremony of the 4th Bengal International Short Film Festival was organized recently.
Sabitri Chatterjee, Utpalendu Chakraborty and Kabori Sarwar from Bangladesh were among the five personalities who received the Lifetime Achievement Award during the inaugural ceremony of the event.
BFTTC president Firdausul Hasan said that like every year, the organizers try to honour those individuals who have left a mark in cinema with their works.
Sabitri Chatterjee was awarded with the Hiralal Sen Award while film maker Utpalendu Chakraborty was given the Devaki Kumar Bose Award.
Kabori Sarwar was felicitated with the Raj Rajjak Award.
Film journalist Gautam Bhattacharya will be awarded with the Kailash Mukherjee Award.
A special award named Information Communication Entertainment will be given to Janab Ahmed Akbar Sobhan.
Acclaimed dancer Tanushree Shankar and her troupe performed on the pccasion and mesmerized the audiences.
