5th Kolkata Jewellery & Gem Fair Starts With A Big Bang
The Biswa Bangla Mela Prangan hosted the spectacular 5th edition of the Kolkata Jewellery & Gem Fair (KJGF), which celebrated East India’s unparalleled jewelry legacy and highlighted its growing global prominence. KJGF 2024, which is organized by Informa Markets in India, makes a triumphant comeback after six years, solidifying its position as the most important jewelry industry platform in the area.
Featuring fine jewelry, gemstones, lab-grown diamonds, gold ornaments, silver artifacts, and state-of-the-art jewelry technology, the exhibition boasts more than 60 exhibitors, 200+ top brands, and more than 2,000 unique creations. The exhibition provides a stunning display of both history and innovation, with major exhibitors including Senco Gold, Rasiklal Mohanlal Gandhi, Shree Rama Krishna Exports, and Jodhani Diamonds.
The grand inauguration was graced by prominent dignitaries, like Dr. Manoj Pant, Chief Secretary, Government of West Bengal, Smt. Vandana Yadav, IAS, Managing Director, West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation, Shri Ashok Bengani, President, CGJWA, Shri Siddharth Sawansukha, Managing Director, Sawansukha Jewellers, Shri Pramod Dugar, General Secretary, CGJWA, Shri Pankaj Parekh, Chairman – East, GJEPC, Mr. Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director, Informa Markets India, Ms. Pallavi Mehra, Sr. Group Director, Informa Markets India, and Mr. Pankaj Shende, Group Director, Informa Markets India.
KJGF 2024 is a celebration of the region’s cultural and economic significance in the jewelry industry, in addition to the business showcase. The Jewellery Legends of East India Awards were formally unveiled on Day 1 to honor trailblazers whose outstanding efforts have established industry standards. Insightful presentations on Day 2 will include Pritesh Desai’s “Unlocking Growth in Retail Expansion” and Rapaport’s special discussion on “Essentials and Key Challenges in the Natural Diamond Industry”. The event, which is anticipated to draw over 2,500 trade visitors, provides a vibrant forum for cooperation between makers, exporters, wholesalers, and retailers, promoting expansion and innovation in the jewelry industry in East India.
KJGF 2024 runs until 25 November 2024 and will transform the regional industry.
