A seven-foot-tall, environmentally friendly Maa Durga idol made by the students of Techno India Group was revealed at Techno Main Campus in Salt Lake.

Under the knowledgeable supervision of the esteemed faculty, students from Techno India Group Public Schools (TIGPS), Techno Main Salt Lake (TMSL), and Techno India University (TIU) spent weeks creating this idol, which was made entirely out of 35 packets of tissue paper, fabric, and vivid paints.

For the previous three years, the students have been crafting gorgeous, long-lasting Durga statues. First and second year they made from discarded engineering products and fabric. This year the handcrafted masterpiece made of tissue papers will make its worldwide premiere during the Lalbaba Rice Thames Durga Parade in London hosted by Heritage Bengal Global.

The unveiling was graced by ace music composers, Sourendro Soumyojit, Prof Manoshi Roychowdhury, Co-Chairperson, Techno India Group and Mr Meghdut Roy Chowdhury, Founder Make Calcutta Relevant Again & Chief Innovation Officer Techno India Group.

The sound of traditional dhaaks added a celebratory vibe to the air.

This idol, which was created using tissue paper, cloth, and vivid paints, is not only a work of artistic genius but also a representation of sustainable celebration.

By integrating custom with cutting-edge ecological methods, Techno India Group is promoting sustainability through Durga Puja celebrations that have a minimal negative impact on the environment.
